We want you to…


  • Build an on-trend Omni assortment with channel-specific strategies in mind
  • Initiate market/competitor analysis and always be on top of industry trends, specifically in the active and leisure realm
  • Make thoughtful decisions in product picking, color selections, etc
  • Communicates changes to all cross-functional partners - planning, production, design and wholesale
  • Adhere to the production and development calendar
  • Review and recommend reactions to current business trends
  • Maintain site; work with all cross functional teams to accomplish this
  • Participate in store visits



  • Prepare and analyze Omni selling recaps to drive your business. Make recommendations on how to optimize current sales and affect future plans
  • Partner with planning in pre-season to plan and buy your department based on comprehensive analysis of the business – last year results, current business, etc
  • Participate in inventory management and control with planning and distribution teams
  • Participate with pricing and profit strategies – make promotional and markdown suggestions to drive profitable gross margin results
  • Review new receipts against business trend to maximize sales and stock



  • Manage and train assistant merchant
  • Ability to work with multiple teams and ensure strategies are executed throughout all cross-functionals (i.e., production, planning, wholesale, marketing, visual)
  • Communicate adjustments to agreed upon strategies to all relevant partners



Oh, and by the way, you…

  • 3+ years merchandising experience with at least 2 years specifically in the active/sport sector
  • Self-motivated with a high sense of urgency
  • Strong Excel Skills with the ability to learn new systems
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Open to learn
  • Demonstrated business skills with proven results
  • Good communication skills; oral and written
