Brand Creative Operations Associate – Promotions & Paid Digital Marketing

Reports to Director of Brand Creative Operations
 

This position is responsible for an efficient and effective process for Promotions & Paid Digital Marketing within the Brand Creative Operations department. Helping to implement and execute the digital marketing strategy to promote the Madewell website, social media platforms, and other web-based resources.

This individual is integral in maintaining team intercommunication and project timelines for the Brand Creative & Marketing teams. Helping to manage requests; ensuring all workflows run efficiently; communicating and managing expectations; keeping everyone on task, projects on deadline, and handling the day-to-day operational logistics for delivery and agency trafficking of paid & promotional assets.

Must be organized, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about the Madewell Brand. A motivated, self-starter with excellent judgement and communication skills, and a strong working knowledge of paid marketing assets and digital media.

We want you to…

  • Support Operations and Brand Creative across various marketing promotional projects and digital marketing campaigns, working with internal cross-functional team members and external partners, to deliver projects successfully, and efficiently.
  • Receive and review all incoming (ongoing and new) Madewell paid digital and promotional initiatives for execution; act as the liaison between creative and marketing teams, collaborating with key stakeholders to obtain current information on projects, and manage expectations.
  • Establish and communicate cross-team responsibilities for proper and timely execution of requests.
  • Facilitate project kick-offs, agendas, status check-ins, recaps, and next steps, managing the development and execution of project requirements and deadlines. Attending Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Promo meetings to stay up to speed on current and future requests.
  • Responsible for documentation, prioritization, tracking, and monitoring of project needs, promo placements, timing, and changes within the steps of the creative process, ensuring adherence to project defined guidelines, and schedules.
  • Work with Director of Operations to proactively assess and create processes and efficiencies for Madewell’s ever-increasing promotional and digital marketing efforts, facilitating better cross-team collaboration and project outcomes.
  • Work with Brand Creative Operations partners to manage creative team project workloads and identify hot projects and upcoming deliverables.
  • Alert the creative team as well as agency partners to changes in marketing objectives, new information, asset delivery, etc.; flagging potential issues before they occur, problem-solving execution obstacles, reassessing and adjusting schedules as needed.
  • Partner closely with creative project management counterparts - Organic Social, Site, Store, Email - to ensure alignment for paid & promotional efforts between channel timelines, communicate project details, and execute and deliver creative assets.
  • Traffic assets and deliverables across multiple departments, internal & external (agency) stakeholders, gathering disclaimer information, providing updates and securing approvals.

 

 

Oh, and by the way, you have/are…

  • Extremely detailed oriented with clear and effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently when required while at the same time operate efficiently in a team dynamic
  • Strong time management skills with experience balancing a high volume of projects and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office/365 Software (Teams, Excel, Word, etc.), Mac OS, as well as project and task management tools like Airtable, JIRA, Asana, etc. Adobe Suite experience is a plus
  • 2-3 years of experience in a cross-functional project management or creative marketing communications environment with comprehensive knowledge of social and digital landscape.
  • Advertising and Agency experience a plus (but not required)
  • An awareness and understanding of paid marketing assets and creative deliverables
  • Passionate about collaboration and fostering a solution-oriented cross-functional environment
