Madewell Finance Technology Lead

Overview: Lead a team to deliver enterprise solutions for use by Madewell employees and their customers, primarily focused in the Finance and Procurement and other corporate functions as appropriate. In partnership with key stakeholders, this individual will be responsible for developing strategies, roadmaps and high-quality information systems as well as driving business results through the success of key business partners and enterprise functions. The ideal candidate for this role will have demonstrated a passion for inspiring, mentoring, and developing people and delivering services that are scalable, high quality and consistently with reusability in mind. This leader must be a technologist with strong business foundation, proven expertise in improving productivity, driving business partner satisfaction, and maintaining technology and security controls.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the evolution of the IT Applications organization through the hiring and development of world-class IT professionals.
  • Lead and empower a team of IT specialists to deliver on IT commitments.
  • Partner with functional partners to align business and IT strategies and roadmaps and to drive business success.
  • Partner across Engineering, the CIO organization, and broadly across Madewell to deliver solutions.
  • Uses technical knowledge to anticipate and understand the implications of the latest technologies to communicate and evangelize them to appropriate audiences and to integrate these technologies appropriately into products and programs.
  • Deliver on a portfolio of projects and services enabling multiple teams and their customers in the areas of Finance and Procurement and other corporate functions as appropriate.
  • Engage and use third-party applications and develop strategic partnerships to complement Madewell technology.
  • Develops short- and long-range product and service strategies and plans. Oversees the execution of operating plans for specified area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for maintaining culture, setting up recruiting strategies, implementing process to allow scale and, ultimately, establishing Madewell as an IT employer of choice in the industry.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience leading technology development and integrating enterprise solutions with a focus on Finance and Procurement. ERP Implementation experience required.
  • Experience understanding customer's business processes/drivers and informational needs.
  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors.
  • Experience managing and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Enterprise technology systems
  • Experience with Retail/Apparel or Fashion technology systems integrations

 

Education/Experience/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with IT focused specialization or Finance.
  • 7+ years working experience in hands-on technology delivery roles
