Title: Part-Time Fall Digital Analytics Internship

Location: Our Home Office (225 Liberty Street, New York, NY, 10281) – All interns must be within commuting distance from the office to qualify for this internship.

Duration:  The program will run from September 13th through December 10th.

Based in New York City, the J.Crew Group Part-time Fall Digital Analytics Internship program serves as the opportunity of a lifetime to get a behind-the-scenes look at how we do things here at Madewell. Spend 13 weeks at Brookfield Place, the hub from which our merchants, designers, marketing, sourcing and business teams collaborate to make informed business decisions. In this role, innovation and forethought are required at both the macro and micro levels. 

Our in-depth, challenging and rewarding internship will start you on the path to an amazing career and allow you to learn “hands on” how we work in a fashion retail environment. With that our program will be limited to a select group of the best talent. We strongly believe in developing a dynamic, creative and driven team that will become key assets in the continued growth of Madewell which is why we will be so selective in our internship program.


As our Digital Analytics Intern you will get exposure to the following:


Digital Analytics

Getting hands-on experience within the Adobe Analytics web analytics tool, using data to perform analyses, understand website visitor behavior and make recommendations based off findings. As part of the web analytics experience, this person will also be partnering with other departments within the organization (merchandising, user experience, product management) to assist with their web analytics needs.


A/B Testing

The opportunity to learn what a/b testing is and why it’s important for our organization. Possibility of identifying a/b testing opportunities (from web analytics data) and working through the process to get something from an idea to an actual feature on the website, all the way to the reporting of the test.


Customer Feedback

At Madewell we have access to lots of feedback from our customers. This feedback includes website feedback, store feedback, product feedback, shipping and returns process feedback and google maps feedback. As part of the internship, this person may have an opportunity to utilize varying sources of feedback data to help inform business decisions or identify key opportunity areas for the brand. An opportunity to utilize a data visualization tool (PowerBI) to help interpret or build dashboards is also possible.
