Senior Production Manager, Sweaters




  • Partner closely with design, R&D, technical design & merchandising to develop & deliver on brand, high quality product that meets business requirements
  • Work closely with HK office on sourcing strategy & long range planning to ensure business needs are being supported
  • Lead Sweater & Swim sourcing, driving results in cost reduction, strategic initiatives (fast track & read & react etc.), innovation & operational excellence
  • Work closely with Wholesale team to ensure business needs are met
  • Actively participate in Roadmap & Design Reviews
  • Work closely with design to ensure intent is executed in development samples.
  • Offer technical advice on construction & gauge in order to achieve design intent as well as meet cost and margin goals
  • Proactively offer options if design is not workable within cost and/or quality and delivery requirements
  • Attend fittings and partner closely with technical design on vendor management & WIPS
  • Negotiate costing in order to achieve and/or exceed cost reduction & IMU goals; partner closely with planning & merchandising to ensure alignment
  • Manage in-season production, WIPS & On Time Delivery
  • Communicate with merchandising regarding any potential delivery issues, offering solutions & problem solving
  • Partner closely with vendor base & Hong Kong office to ensure efficient management of business, from product development to ex factory
  • Work with quality and testing teams to ensure all bulk product meets standards & is classified properly
  • Onboard new vendors & work closely with compliance to audit and set up new factories
  • Manage and drive innovation around sustainability, ensuring all long term goals are met
  • Develop and grow Assistant Manager
  • Travel domestically/internationally to meet with vendors & offshore teams





  • 6-7+ years of production & product development experience
  • Strong communication skills; ability to navigate & manage cross functional relationships
  • Experience in sweaters product development & production
  • Experience managing others
  • Strong knowledge of apparel manufacturing & factory operations
  • Strategic thinker
  • Expertise at cost negotiations/fact-based costing
  • Strong vendor relationships
  • Technical expertise in sweater yarns & manufacturing
  • Experience managing Women’s Swim a plus but not required
  • Ability to negotiate through minimum challenges with vendors to ensure the right assortment is achievable
  • Ability to multi task & manage conflicting priorities in a fast paced, ever changing environment
