Sr. Planner - Madewell Wholesale

Responsibilities:

 

  • Utilize statistical analysis, historical and current trends and qualitative data to derive category level demand forecasts for assigned partners, product lines, and markets
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the seasonal line, expected SKU level unit drivers and potential areas of risk/opportunity
  • Manage the weekly and monthly forecast, working collaboratively with business partners to better understand and account for changes in qualitative inputs in an effort to increase forecast accuracy
  • Work proactively with regional merchants and sales planners, assisting in the early establishment of pattern level forecasts throughout the development of the seasonal line
  • Support the demand plan for assigned product lines and markets with respect to inventory management. This includes using forward coverage and other analytical techniques to assist with demand plan execution at both detail (SKU) and aggregate (line/BU) levels.
  • Coordinate with value chain and business unit partners to drive improvement and fulfillment of inventory positions, improve product level forecast coverage with a key focus on core products
  • Own the inventory planning process from supporting annual & quarterly targets to weekly availability/ supply demand match root causes for assigned product lines. Act as a thought partner and participant in S&OP cycle sessions regarding demand plan and inventory plan dynamics

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Familiarity with IBF/APICS concepts is a major plus
  • 4 - 6 years experience in wholesale planning setting including proven results in forecasting, planning and analysis
  • Must have experience working in a collaborative setting
  • Proficient in MS Excel and familiarity with order and inventory management applications & processes
  • Experience in large scale forecasting software application is a plus
  • Must be strong analytically as well as in working with others. Must function independently and communicate well with any level of management
