TITLE: Associate, Membership Marketing

REPORTS TO: Sr. Manager, Retention Marketing

LOCATION: New York, New York

 

Overview:

Madewell is looking for a highly motivated Membership Marketing Associate to support the Madewell Insider loyalty program. This position will be responsible for developing strategies and executing campaigns to grow the Madewell loyalty program and for driving continuous engagement from current program members. This position will include qualitative and quantitative program measurement, project management and execution of initiatives.

The right candidate for this role has exceptional project management skills, is highly analytical, and highly KPI driven. Expertise in digital marketing at an eCommerce or retail company, with a demonstrated passion for the Madewell brand is preferred.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Owns and manages the day-to-day execution of all loyalty program activities across marketing channels – including owning the loyalty marketing calendar, requesting loyalty collateral (instore and online), and implementation of all loyalty campaigns and offers.
  • Works to ensure that the Insider program and all loyalty efforts are set up to drive increased customer contactability and improved customer retention and purchase frequency.
  • Partners with key stakeholders in E-commerce, Retail, Brand Creative, Finance, Legal and IT to develop and execute loyalty campaigns and build out best-in-class, cross-channel loyalty member experiences.
  • Executes loyalty campaigns from start to finish, owning and project managing the entire process.
  • Optimizes loyalty offers, partnering with the analytics team to test and learn and segment offers to maximize profitability
  • Establishes KPIs and develops reporting to measure campaign effectiveness and performance against budget
  • Analyzes, interprets and reports on overall loyalty program performance on a continuous basis, sharing out findings and actionable insights with the wider team.
  • Works with business and IT stakeholders to plan, prioritize and implement program enhancements and serves as the main point of contact with IT team to ensure successful launches/implementations of new functionality.
  • Serves as a triage partner, pulling appropriate parties together as needed to resolve issues raised by IT, stakeholders, store and call center associates.
  • Acts as the main point of contact for call center and store ops teams to ensure that associates are fully equipped to speak to and market the program.
  • Ensures legal compliance for all loyalty benefits, campaigns and promotions.
  • Partners with Senior Manager of Retention Marketing to develop future strategy proposals based on current performance and best practices from the marketplace.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert on the Madewell Insider program and on the overall loyalty marketing landscape and trends – leading discussions and decision-making between cross-functional teams.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 - 3 years of loyalty marketing experience
  • Experience working with a loyalty marketing vendor a plus (Merkle, Epsilon, SessionM)
  • Experience in email marketing a plus (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Bluecore, Responsys)
  • Experience in SMS a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational/Project Management skills required
  • Strong analytics skills w/ proficiency in Excel; proficiency in web analytics is a plus (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)
  • Adaptability and multi-tasking capability, with solid time management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Understanding of the Madewell customer and passion for the brand
  • Thrive in an environment of changing situations and priorities
  • Ability to synthesize large quantities of data and develop hypotheses which are both practical and effective
