The Madewell Marketing team is composed of driven and strategic thinkers that are dedicated to finding the most creative and effective ways to execute a full-funnel marketing strategy.

Madewell is looking for a passionate, highly motivated brand marketing professional to grow awareness of the brand by bringing to life unique partnerships and experiential activations that reach each customer touchpoint.


This individual will be tasked with bringing to life key initiatives that drive brand love by championing Madewell’s values and position the brand as an innovator in the retail space while delivering on awareness and engagement goals. This person will be responsible for seeking out and identifying strategic brand partnerships, product collaborations, experiential activations, and mission-driven programs -- with a strong understanding of how partnerships play into a full funnel marketing strategy.


The ideal candidate is curious about the industry and where it’s headed, is in tune with consumer trends and behaviors, knows how to activate around key cultural moments, and is able to strategically plan into tentpole brand moments, programs and launches.

This role sits within the Brand Marketing team and will report to the Senior Manager of PR & Influencer.



  • Oversee end-to-end partnerships strategy from sourcing to execution.
  • Produce and manage all experiential activations and events that support marketing goals and initiatives.
  • Identify, secure and execute partnerships that reinforce the brand’s identity and garner significant press and social coverage to drive impressions, customer acquisition, and demand.
  • Exercise a creative approach to partnerships by anticipating trends and identifying like-minded opportunities across industries, brands, and personalities.
  • Lead the partnership development and go-to-market strategy by negotiating terms, coordinating an integrated marketing plan, and reporting on performance. 
  • Work cross-functionally with design, merchandising, marketing, legal, and PR teams to develop an omnichannel launch strategy for partnerships and experiences.
  • Own and manage partnership relationships, anticipate partner needs, manage expectations and keep internal teams informed.
  • Maintain existing long-term partnerships and brand programs (e.g. Madewell Forever, Hometown Heroes, Brand Ambassador) and build new partnerships that support brand growth goals.
  • Work with creative teams to bring partnerships and experiences to life through a compelling messaging and content strategy.
  • Analyze partnership results to determine success and the future of the relationship.
  • Constantly explore new opportunities, looking for unexpected things that reinforce the brand identity and position the brand as a leader in the retail space.
  • Oversee and manage budget.



  • 5-7 years of brand marketing, partnership management, or PR experience;  Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree. 
  • Self-starter who can independently lead both strategy and execution, get internal buy-ins, and communicate effectively.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills as it relates to working closely with key internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • A creative, “out-of-the-box” thinker.
  • Strong leadership skills, entrepreneurial attitude, and can-do mentality.
  • Analytical mindset who connects strategies with tangible outcomes.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, friendly, patient, resourceful, and proactive.
  • Eager to learn and take on new and varied responsibilities.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively across categories within a constantly changing environment.
